RIDE course

Rider Intervention and Developing Experience

The national RIDE scheme helps novice and experienced motorcyclists to gain a broader understanding of the risks, and potential dangers, of their riding decisions.

This is a key course within the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS), and is supported by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO).

Why should I attend this Driver Awareness course?

  • Avoid driving ticket (fine and points) or court
  • Book online or by phone
  • No pass or fail tests
  • Venues throughout England and Northern Ireland
  • Bikers say they benefit from the experience
  • Training in a relaxed environment
  • Choose a date and time to suit you
  • No riding required

The course is 6 hours long, including an hour lunch break, and the price varies depending on the location. The course is run in a relaxed atmosphere, and through a series of theory and practical sessions it will:

  • Examine your approach to risk
  • Probe the beliefs surrounding inappropriate behaviour
  • Look at the positive effects of mindset change
  • Sustain the positive changes after the course

The RIDE scheme is run throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland by a selection of training providers.
